Na Boudicinu sťažnosť súvisiacu s takýmto zaobchádzaním a odporom voči poslednej vôli jej manžela sa odpovedalo brutalitou; rímski vojaci ju zbičovali a jej dcéry, vtedy ešte iba deti, boli znásilnené. Boudica a jej poddaní boli z takéhoto zahanbenia kráľovnej a detí rozzúrení.
